Doodled these sleepy in like 20 minutes at class, they're based on birds that can be found at my university (Toco toucan/Burrowing owl->Toco toucan->Vulture, Lark->Southern lapwing->Eagle), except for the two stage line which are based on various poultry (first stage: California quail; Second stage: Pheasant [body and tail], rooster [comb], turkey [wattle], peacock [train], chukar partridge [stripes]).
The concept is that people raise the pheasant-looking guy as livestock, but the viking bird finds them delicious and steal them from farms, so farmers started raising the gladiator bird to protect the poultry from the vulture. The quad weakness to the vulture's move is intentional, as the eagle would be faster and would learn Steel moves to beat it.
