The problem is the AI and stats of the opponent, and occasionally the movesets.
The opponent's AI is usually brain dead, and their stats seem to have negative IVs plus some kind of hindering nature only the AI can have that lowers every stat.
If the opponent had actual AI and stats that didn't make them a joke, the games wouldn't be so easy, even if Gym Leaders only had 3 Pokemon.
Just give them a variety of moves, Dual Typed Pokemon and AI.
Fuck.
