Having tried DP again for the first time in a long time, snow, mud, and fog are annoying, but the multi-lane route design is good and the abundance of HM obstacles takes on a very different meaning IF you can actually spread them through your team. Much like Gen 1's branch-splitting there are good bits to iterate upon, and the bad never showed up again anyway.
