SwSh definitely wins in terms of random trainer NPCs though (with the exception of the grunts - Marco Cosmos and team yell grunts are probably the worst grunts in the series).

The real issue with SV is that outside of Iono the other gym leaders are more forgettable (you can try to claim Katy but it’s a stretch). Most other gens at least have 2 gym leader girls to fawn over. But it sorta matters less too? Because gen 9 inherently de-emphasized the gyms as the centre of the game anyways? There’s a lot of good girls in the game, they’re just a bit more spread out I guess
