Ingress is a spoofer's wet dream. Imagine if PoGo came first and Ingress came second, you would hear the concept and say "that's retarded, spoofers would ruin it".
Guess what? The fact that it's so abusable actually made the devs give a damn and make spoofing almost impossible to pull off.
So no, a system much more vulnerable to spoofers still managed to have almost no spoofing in it.
