Pokemon is like: "Teehee, we gave this one hips! Isn't that naughty? Oh gee, maybe we should bury it in a dex full of vinyl figure animals and the story equivalent of a fisher price toy."
Digimon is like: "Hey kid, wanna see a girl fucked all the way through by a tentacle monster? Wanna see her live like that forever in an unstoppable nightmare of permanent rape?"
These are very different things.
