please so the series doesn't dieShiren's much closer to rogue than PMD, with resetting your levels/items if you die and sending you back to the start, but you get things like storage rooms and blacksmiths that let you forge items to be better so you can still make slightly more progress each run building up a stock of good items/equipment. The games also usually have some side stuff you can do along the way that can make runs easier like recruitable party members.
Shiren 1's pretty hard, but 2 is a lot easier while still keeping the level/item reset thing.
