That's the halfway point reached!
Had an unfortunate loss in team Rocket's hideout because I wanted to abuse Gutter the Raticate's guts buff but accidentally got knocked right into poison range. Thankfully Machoke wiped the floor with Giovanni's Kangaskhan, which usually fucks me over.
Caught a Modest Ghastly in pokemon tower but unfortunately I almost immediately lost it because I didn't think Exeggcute would have confusion already because it didn't use it on Victreebel. Sorry Soul, you would've carried this game otherwise.
Erika went about as you'd expect with a Charmeleon and a Pidgeotto, and pokemon tower went without a hitch too.
Added Vaporeon to the team so I had a water type, despite the pretty bad nature, then realised I could get the super rod immediately afterwards and caught a bunch more. Oh well, I already used a TM so I'm committed now.
