>>55034799>I didn't browse vp back in 2013i did, people were basically treating it like the last nail in the coffin for the series. it was where pokémon jumped the shark, they went too far, etcetera. legitimate doomposting. i still kind of see it through that lens so the change in public opinion has been very jarring for me, although i can't say i'm exactly bothered by it anymore now that it's just a forgotten gimmick and wasn't a permanent change. these days i'm just salty about the mons it screwed out of much needed evolutions, like mawile. glad only one of my favs got one.
