Rick decided his Pokemon would not fare well in such a faraway land, so he sent them to the Ranch to help Lara. With the exception of a Sandile he was given by Asteria after his defeat.
Rickard became good friends with Asteria and stayed at her house for a while, where he trained his Pokemon for a new challenge, the Unova league.
