That said though, the Clef line definitely feels like an actual protag/mascot pokemon becausse i remember ORAS OU Clefable a lot and boy did Clefable not feel like an endgame protag-tier pokemon with how many buffs it kept getting
>Expansive movepool that sees no end>It can be an offensive, defensive, support, sweeper, anti-sweeper>It can run a myriad of items, even the unconventional items can work>BST may look average but it's Garchomp-levels of optimization>S-tier, one of the best pokemons in the era in a tier with a death machine like Mega Metagross>Through the entire franchise's lifespan, Clefable keeps getting more and more buffs, from gen 2 letting Clef differentiate itself from the other pink blobs to gen 3 triplicating the movepool to getting magic guard then unaware, gets mono-Fairy typing and +10 on SpAtk and lastly, Teleport gets a buff which made her the perfect cleric pokemon of all time.Clefable is just perfection and i love her so much.
