What are the most traumatic things Ash has experienced? Y'know, in terms of things that would be traumatic to an actual 10-15 year old, and not an anime kid?
It's been a long time since I've seen the anime from the start, so I'm only remembering the highlights, really.
So far I've got:
>faced with imminent death via angry swarm of birds
>gets trapped on a sunken ship and declared dead
>gets hit by a chandelier and actually dies
>(movie 1 omitted because mewtwo erased his memory)
>gets told he's the only one who can save the whole goddamn planet (and the rest of M2000)
>mom gets kidnapped
>entei tries to murder him
>unown in general are creepy as fuck
>tries to sacrifice himself to save the magic tree, I guess
>watches lucario die instead
>actually drowns trying to save a giant sea temple
>gets shot into space and almost freezes to death
>watches victini sacrifice itself to save him
>almost stops existing at one point
>Lysandere tries to mind control him and use him as a weapon
>Lysandere in general
So, obviously, if Ash wasn't an anime character he'd be super fucked up already, but obviously, I'm missing some stuff. What did I miss?
I'm jonesing to writing some trauma fics.
