>>57590557Now that his new game doesn't have the white borders I can confidently say I think the white borders on world objects looks better with the artstyle, lighting, and tilesets. The black outline just makes things stand out even moreso like they don't belong (sort of like when an anime is about to blow up the ground and suddenly half the ground on the screen is now an animated drawing and not a background painting). Something about Lazarus just doesn't add up and doesn't "feel gen 2 enough" like Seaglass does.
But the for Pokemon sprites I think Lazarus looks better without the white borders (pic for reference
