>>33698733Ty for the anecdote. Been searching for a TCG to play for a while now to fill in the Yugioh void (i used to be hooked on ygo in 05/06/07, played in a bunch of tourneys, made original decks, always placed well, almost went to nationals. but shit has changed too much, i tried getting back into it this year, it disgusted me. i forgot how tiny the cards were, and the game is not the same. i even played Duel Links but fuck that game. was great at the start, great, but Komoney, I mean, Konami was pumping out way too much shit and the only way to be caught up is to spend IRL money, a thing I did. spent $70 on fucking virtual cards, and the game didn't even play like the actual TCG. but whatever, was an alright time.)
I can't believe Pokemon TCG may fill the void. It's crazy. It's been right in front of me all along for years -- since I was a kid. I'm having fun online. Don't know if I'll actually play IRL, but maybe. There is surprisingly an active Pokemon TCG community in my area, same with MtG of course, while YGO is dead, dead, dead.
