They are dex fillers in every sense of the word. Not to mention, they still need to release its shiny someday, and they'll add it to raids, 7k eggs and wild event spawns. But some people feel the need to play everything in this game, I don't get it.

No, that's just FOMO, if you skip this event, it'll be easier to tell shitty events from decent ones in the future. Nothing in this game stays as a "1 time only chance" (barring a few pokemon with cosmetics or costumes). Everything comes back around and in many ways easily accessable for everyone. Mr.Mime will either be added to the wild spawns of 7k eggs. But if you do want to do the event, don't let me stop you from having fun. Good luck, anon.
