Extreme Speed is rarely shown, Kukui's Lucario used it only ONCE and when it's shown its supposed to convey the name itself. Plus the anime always portrayed Aerial Ace as an attack where the focus of the offensive force is in one part of the body like claws, paws, wings, while Extreme Speed is engrossing the whole figure at an higher movement frequency. It's called consistency, retard.
Its also easier to animate and frame a "fast" move like Aerial Ace into small scale visuals than frequently copying Extreme Speed.
And the show does it fine. A fast and precise move utilized by either fast pokemon or by quite versatile plays.
