For me, it just came out at a time when I stopped giving a fuck about pokemon.
Then I played it years later and it felt slow and clunky.
I guess it's not that bad in retrospective, but it doesn't feel like anything special either without the nostalgia googles.

I was born in '89 and we stopped playing around gold/silver. Ironically we got back into it hardcore for HGSS during college and it became a fad again. Just because so many people who lived through pokemania were all gathered in one place. Funny how that works.
