Actually i decided to compromise a bit and use mega gengar, grinding hom up at the moment. Thoughts so far:
The experience is unique. Nothing like seeing munchlax roadblock evolve into snorlax after you get a new badge. Items are too expensive and there's not enough money. Because I didn't want to grind for nuggets I actually soent most of the run with minimal usage of healing items. Wild encounter scaling means by the end of the game there's a Pokémon uprising with level 60 fully evolved mons running in every road.
I suppose i'll push myself to finish it and take a break with a more relaxing and less difficult hack. Any suggestions?
