Anime wise her development from not being sure what she wants, to standing up to her mother, to going off on her own willing to seperate from a guy she likes to improve herself to surpass Elle, while not entirely original to the female protag is nice to watch. As for Game!Rena, she's a cute punching bag that you feel sympathy for but is competent enough to help you fight off Team Flare. If you pick her she's a pretty face, who becomes Champ.
