Who else would have loved Let's Go if it had this stuff? (Haven't bought it yet but it looks flawed yet really fun, so i may not be able to judge super well)
>Johto post-game. Why this hasn't been done yet in either Kanto remake is beyond my comprehension. It seems so obvious.
>Normal catching mechanics, but still unique. In my opinion, I see both ends of the equation. One, old catching mechanics are cool and have more input on the player. Two, they wanted it to be like GO and make it simple. I think the best way to go is to have the first one, but when catching, instead of boring-ass ball-and-luck game, it switches to the Pokemon GO style catching minigame. RNG bullshit would be absent from catching, instead being determined by a value set through both your battling (damage being low, status effects, etc) and the catching minigame. If the value would exceed a certain amount, you got em.
>Story depth. I think a great way for Kanto to be remade is to modernize its story to make it more of Gen 4 levels of plot. Have lore around the Legendary Birds, have Rocket actually have a goal that isn't shit, give Gym Leaders some backstory and lives outside their gyms, elaborate on Mew, the list goes on.
>Make Red, Blue, and Green not last minute additions and make them major characters. If this stuff would be done as a seperate Kanto remake (without partner Pikachu/Eevee) make Red the protag, Blue a rival, Green an antag/supporting character, Elaine/Chase/Trace minor rivals.
>BRING BACK JANINE AND ALL OF THE GEN 2 ROCKET ADMINS YOU FUCKS
>If the game is too easy like some people say than make it not too easy.
What do you think /vp/?
