Fairy really doesn't cover the holy at all. Like you can claim it's functionally similar to how a certain conception of light might work but thematically it isn't. There's some moves like dazzling gleam with a light theme but it doesn't really fill the same role of a holy, smiling force. They're magic little shits that are pink and lovely and deadly. Light is an awesome holy power that smites with righteous fury. Hell, fairies were seen as demons sometimes. It's not the same. I don't know how we can have a ground and rock type but people take issue at the mere suggestion of a light type. If anything it's closest to fire or electric or some normal special moves like hyper beam or grass moves like solar beam but neither actually covers it.
