>>58619106lol. lmao, even. You clearly never used Golem a day in your life. Golem is godlike in older gens (especially gen 1 and 2) because of the overwhelming number of normal-type attacks in-game. He also shuts down any and all poison types, electric types, and most flying types. Any types other than water or grass? He basically walls them to oblivion. Rock and Ground also hit every mono type in the game for at least neutral damage. There's a reason why every gen 1 team either runs Golem or Rhydon in their PvP teams. He is also good in basically every single nuzlocke from the 2D games.
Also, he's not "unrelated" to geodude/graveler. Look at his reptilian features and then look at the Machop and Machoke's faces. Then look at Graveler's 4 arms and how Golem lost a pair of arms after evolution, but Machamp gained a pair of arms. The game is hinting at something.
