There's over a thousand Digimon and all of them are quite varied, some are designed by a Pokemon Card artist, like Gomamon X, They see a Digimon that is over designed and think all 1000+ are like that, while the dozens and dozens of overdesigned legendaries and special forms get a pass because "At least were not Digimon!"
