>>51603589Holy fuck, this was an eventful day for my HeartGold nuzlocke.
I was just exploring burned tower today, which of course means I faced silver. I was doing fine, all he had left was a magnemite and his bayleef, who was asleep and at next to 0 health. I was really stressed about magnemite since both of my electric resists were at low health and poisoned. I ended up taking a risk and switching in Chain gang the Exeggutor but bayleef woke up then go her to only 2 health with a crit magical leaf, only for her to be picked off by poison. It stung, like really stung, that’s my 9th death, but it’s the first one to be due to actual bad playing on my part on not just random luck. Plus that’s a huge loss to my team, she was easily my strongest mon. I actually thought my run would end, but I ended up winning, I took care of magnemite by lowering its defence enough to be one shot by Anne’s hyper fang.
The silver lining is that I ended up getting a fucking magmar (picrel) as my first encounter, I had used a repel to stave off encounters till I got to the basement purely so I had a shot at getting magmar, so I was very happy to get one. This is an itemless run tho so trying to catch her without losing anyone was stressful.
It all worked out in the end, I lost and I gained a whole lot.
