Even though early DS era and early 3DS era pokemon games sold similarly, the DS has double the hardware sales of the 3DS. You dont understand how many developers jumped ship once the R4 and emulation got to be as bad as it was. This showed Game Freak that putting in effort was a waste of time when people would buy everything anyways and they started trolling.
