Support for Alolan Pokemon was lacking (I think it was just pic related), but I assume that was because the TCG decided to treat Ultra Beasts as the generation's equivalent to a villainous team with unique support (much like Plasma Pokemon in Gen 5). Since Gen 8 doesn't have anything equivalent to UBs and Team Yell doesn't even count as a villainous team, Galarian Pokemon should see more support than Alolans ever did.
I mean I guess they could've just had the support cards say something like "any Pokemon with Galarian in its name or that evolves from a Pokemon with Galarian in its name" but this is more straightforward.
