>>47180641 I think most people in general are just indifferent towards Goh. As a character alone people think he's an okay and actually can be a good. It's just the moment you get to his goal is when everyone groans because you just can't make catching all pokemon (The Pokemon GO way) that interesting. It's the same throw and catch here and that's why it's boring to watch. The only time Goh has actually failed to catch something is with Zapdos when the pokemon is too strong or Dewgong when the plot needs him to fail or for comedy.
Personally I think he's a fine character, his goal and the writers is basically the thing bringing him down.
