Prices are skyrocketing for what some feel is less content and players feel nickle and dimed thanks to many subscriptions. They feel cheated and lied to. Locking overpowered mons and regional exclusives behind DLC is not cool and unfair to future players once the ability to buy the DLC is gone.
This is why people feel Pokemon deserves flak. It was never a perfect game, but this is not cool.
