My mum got really into pokemon when I was a chillun
Dragonball Z too, but thats irrelevant. Since she was an adult with money she could buy a heap of pokemon cards. Like a lot of schools, the cards were banned during school hours so everyone used to trade after school.
When she came to pick me and my siblings up, she'd trade with the kids. Since she was an intelligent adult and they were dumbass little kids, she ripped them off blind and made them think they got the better deal.
Couple years later she sold off all her doubles and made back all the money she spent on the cards. Even right now she has at her home a full set of Base/Jungle/Fossil, shiny and non-shiny, in the original pokemon card binders.
TL;DR - the very best pokemon master in the world is a 60 year old grandmother
