>>21856371So upon starting the game, I'm given the option to turn on Nuzlocke mode, with a basic summary of the rules (fainted Pokémon die, whiting out is a game over). I decline, and Oak proceeds to tell me I'm too young to have a Pokémon, it's too dangerous, etc.
One preset name choice for the player is Kanye and the rival has T-Swift.
After exiting the intro, Broommm finds himself in the void of space, an invisible voice tells him to "catch" them, we run around in the void, and then a battle starts.
I am impressed by what follows.
I obviously haven't gotten a Pokémon yet, but the hack gave me three Lv. 100s through ASM for this battle. I have a Charizard, Steelix, and Honchkrow. I think this is to show off the changes, because the choices made show off the new types, the phys/spec split, the new moves, all that. It even made it so your opponent's team is specifically countered by each of your three Pokémon (Skarmory for Charizard, Dragonite for Steelix, and Alakazam for Honchkrow).
The battle music is Egg Corridor Revisited from Cave Story, one of my favorite songs from said game.

Upon beating the mystery trainer, I wake up from my dream and learn that I was sleep-walking. I live in Lapis Town -- "You've got a long ways to go."
This is going to be a good time.
