Real talk, is SWSH the most disliked and forgotten about gen/set of games?
>split the fanbase permanently with dexcut
>generation has legitimately no identity of its own, Champion is just a vehicle to promote Charizard
>Pokedex at it's best is controversial, almost no Gen 8 Pokemon have any staying power with the fanbase
>reputation marred by stuff like the tree, the awful animation, forced exp share, etc
>anything good that the game introduced like overworld encounters was done significantly better in SV, giving you no reason to replay it
>story was rushed and laughably bad with infamous scenes like Piers' silent concert
>Team Yell is vastly less popular than Skull or even Star, Rose is easily the worst villain in the series, coming off as more stupid than even goons like Gen 3 Archie and Maxie
>only popular characters left are coomer bait and fujo bait, anyone who likes Pokemon character writing has jumped ship to characters like Arven, Nemona and Kieran
>main gimmick so broken it got banned by Smogon
>best thing you can say about it these days is that the DLC was passable
>same generation that gave us BDSP
>only generation where the anime isn't about the region it takes place in
You don't even see the super gamefreak shills defending it anymore, because everyone can agree now after PLA and SV that SWSH was hideous and undercooked. I know gen wars are super common around here but even then I almost never see anyone bring up or defend SWSH unless they're just baiting like OP. It really feels like it's the generation where absolutely everything went wrong. I did like PLA though, but I emulated it, so..
