They had one fucking job.
I wouldn't even mind the mermaid idea all that much, but those designs look like absolute shit and lend themselves to the boring idea of repeating certain details.
If this is the best they can do regarding Popplio becoming a Water/Fairy mermaid/selkie, I'd much rather a fucking clown.
