Gen 2 is my favorite, the leveling sucks, the movesets are ass, and a lot of cool gen 2 mons arent available until the post game. But I love the way it looks, I love the way the mons look, the music is great, I love the comfy feelings I have for gen 2. I know it's all nostalgia but just thinking about what it would be like to live in the gen 2 games is just orgasmic.
