I did it! This is my first time actually beating a Gen 1 game, didn't get the chance growing up and never got around to it. I had a lovely team overall but unfortunately it was mostly Clefable, Venusaur and Slowbro carrying the final battle. Although Slowbro landed the final hit which was a critical and he's my favourite Pokémon of all time so it was a pretty sweet victory. They all certainly pulled their weight throughout the game, even Butterfree. Anyway, I think I'll finish the Pokédex and do the trainer card stuff one of these days but I'm concentrating on playing the games I haven't played yet; maybe the GameCube games next?
