It's funny that for over a decade I've been playing these games nonstop yet only recently have I decided to go back and play them all and just kind of enjoy them, not worrying about IV's or nature, just catching cool pokemon (not ones that fit a specific role, or utility, not researching everything before I play). I haven't been this excited to go back and play in ages.
Also reminds me of how much charm the old gens have, the sprites and everything, the music. I'm sure all of us who grew up with the first gen will get that sort of feeling. Gen 5 was really the culmination of those aesthetics imo, the music, sprites, everything fit together really well.
