Kanto birds are apparently available in the gacha (Eda's PC). I thought I'd hate this mechanic, but it legitimately is a cool way to introduce a lot of otherwise out-of-sequence pokemon to the player ala wondertrade. Apparently you can farm more tickets in the battle frontier but I don't care enough to do so right now; I'm pretty happy with my team.
