Because gen 4 was awful. It takes forever to get through, the region is green and brown and tedious. HMs could be fixed by removing them or making then interactive. The story could actually have something to it. The new pokemon were lazy save a few. Adding newer monsters could make it less repetitive. Honestly sinnoh and kalos are the only ones that need remakes. I hope they don't fuck the music though. When this is your best representative then you've fucked up.
