>>42339210>so how many of you guys have seen foxes irl?Live in Canada so I see them fairly regularly, most notiable times: Along the shore of lake Ontario near the old abandoned wards of Whitby Mental Health center (about 20 years ago) I got the shit scared out of me while Spelunking the old tunnels one last time before they due to be demolished when a fox let out an alert call when I got too close to its den. I had never heard a fox alert call before that close so I thought it was ghost or some banshee. In my panic I ran into the wall and lost my thermal cam so I being an idiot ran into the dark tunnels until I saw light, tripping over debris the whole way. Outside I sat down and caught my breath.... the fucking fox emerges from the tunnel dragging out my thermal camera, drops it and then pisses on it before going back inside as if to say "Don't leave your garbage in your home". Other then that I got mauled by either a Grey fox or if not had to be some mustlid (but not a fisher as I would have lost my arm) when I reached inside a log while hiking not realizing it was occupied. Notable as its when I discovered rabis shots FUCKING HURT. The mauling hurt less.
