>>40287183Megas are inherently anti-pokemon. The appeal of pokemon was simple, but recognizable designs. However megas just cluster the look to where it looks more like a failed digimon rather than a real pokemon. The lore was to megas was an absolute disaster as it tried to stuff all this multiverse autism into the series despite seeing how it fails in nearly every franchise that attempts to put it in due to how it clutters up the narrative and makes too many inconsistencies in the long run. Lastly it's simply too much powercreep. I'm not even just talking about how puesdos got one and destroyed the meta. It created way too many busted abilities and boosts pokemon way too much. Before only Arcanine and Volcarona made it to 550+ BST with a gimmick, psuedo or legendary status. Now there's over 35 with only 4 being a mega. Now there's barely a point to being a legendary when every other mon is more broken anyways.
I'm so glad GF is finally replacing them.
