I want to see the sights, so I could use Illusion to blend in with human society if I want to and take what I need without much trouble, along with even more stuff that I’d normally never get away with. Only downside is I’m not sure how into it any potential family I’d raise would be.
And you know what, aside from the dangers outside of town I do think the MD universe would be a nice place to live for Pokemon. I’d just be scared of not having any humans around because there would be significantly fewer reminders of my own humanity. That and the main universe would have more modern conveniences. But if I had to go to the MD universe, I guess I’d want to be a Noivern instead. I could get a job as a scout and not have to worry as much about being attacked.
Also, the TCG does have a universe where Pokemon live in a society with modern technology. That might be a nice compromise if you don’t want to give up modern conveniences. There might be less adventure to be had though.
