This is my Crystal Clear team now. Just beat Bugsy as my 8th Gym. He and Whitney as my 7th were surprisingly tough. Whitney's normal types had higher levels and access to ice and thunder punch and sing.
I had to retire the useless Heracross and bring back my Pikachu and evolve it to Raichu to stand a chance. Cheesing them with Thunder Wave.
Bugsy was easer. I lost the first time, but then I decided to lead with Skarmory, used Agility so I could hit first, and swept his entire team of fully evolved level 35-40 bug types with Steel Wing and Peck, and Swift.
So I'm off to the league now.
(Also it looks dark but that's just my camera. My new USB led light can plug into a power bank and illuminate the entire screen. The glare positioned nicely on the gameboy logo)
