>>55753294>God, you perfectly described why I love the Subway Masters so muchFor me the cherry on top is how they call each other by their name plainly without any formality attached. it's normal in Japanese for Ingo as the older sibling, but for Emmet to do the same, either it's a nod to American culture conventions or just suggesting they (or Emmet specifically) don't care much about sibling roles and that they have a close/unique relationship. I know anime Emmet says 'nii-san' and it's super popular in the fandom to the extent that you even see it show up in gameverse fic but i definitely prefer the OG. I once saw a tweet saying that in the canon writing the sibling aspect of their relationship is barely mentioned and it's more about their shared interests and partnership, which are pretty much the same thoughts I have and it's why I fell into shipping them so hard.
