My White run is off to a terrible start so far. Crit after crit takes out my team. Chestnut died while grinding in Route 1. He had a defense drop from Leer, but I thought "what are the odds of this wild Patrat getting a crit Tackle immediately afterward?". It was an OHKO.
Saturn died in Striaton's gym, but to be fair this time there was no defense drop. She just got wiped on her first turn out.
Muldraugh's death was the most frustrating. I switched him into Burgh's Leavanny, who immediately crits a Razor Leaf. Followed by another crit. Muldraugh couldn't OHKO it with Air Cutter, and even a Normal Gem boosted Quick Attack wasn't enough to finish it off. So Muldraugh went down. I know Razor Leaf has an increased crit ratio, but still, fuck me.
Elesa's Zebstrika is looking scary, so I'm going to have to play really well if I don't want to lose another mon. I was thinking of PP stalling Zebstrika out of Spark, Volt Switch, or Flame Charge by switching between Walnut/Panini and Jamie till someone else can comfortably take it out.
