>>13235408 While I will agree with OP for the most part, DP specifically was executed rather poorly. The new mechanics and features were spot on, but the constant backtracking was monotonous and the selection of mons throughout the main game was borderline retarded, holy shit.
Of course Platinum fixed it all and HGSS was a great addition, making gen4 overall better than average.
