Congrats, Ash: you're still a worthless idiot. Congrats, TPCI: you managed to create the most insipid product placement anime I've ever seen.
Transformers killed Optimus Prime, and that anime died not long after. Pokemon is going to kill the one plot that most resembled something of substance: a "vanilla" childhood friend turned lover plot. The sad part is, TPCI is rolling in money. Their show can have fucking horrendous ratings, get panned by critics, piss off new and old fans alike, but it will never be enough to make them care that they goofed. They're too rich to care. The Ashnime is just a 20-minute product placement to them. They don't care how contrived it is. They don't have to, unlike almost any other show.
