So it turns out that there is a trainer in Jubilife City that gifts you a Kanto starter. I don't like overloading on giftmons until i just have a team of 6 starters so I'll save it for later. There's also a random trainer that gives you an egg too. It's just too much.
Also TMs are virtually infinite in this hack since you just get 99 copies. Great.
