>>46937850It disappoints me when lines like Hoothoot just ditch concepts abandoned by pre-evos like Hoothoot's time motif. Hoothoot had a unique body shape and some distinct features like retracting its legs, but it just evolves into a rather generic owl. Neither the beta nor final Noctowl build on this with a time motif or mechanics, nothing based around night time despite being the poster child for nocturnal pokemon, and they're hardly distinguished from the 4 lines of normal/flying types from gen 1 stat-wise. Most of the distinctions have been minor buffs from gens 4 onward.
