>>52447756The reason why HGSS are considered the golden standards for not only Pokémon remakes, but mainline games as a whole, is because they took the already amazing foundation of GS, brought it to Gen 4 standards, and then took it further by updating the musical arrangements, adding brand new content and content from DPPt, fixing the few issues of Gen 2, changing the character designs, adding entirely new fucking routes, and bringing in content from the third version to essentially combine Gold and Silver with Crystal and Platinum. ORAS and ESPECIALLY BDSP have nothing on HGSS. Using them in the same sentence is an insult to the masterpieces that were HGSS.
