>>29927472You should know not to take /vp/, or any of 4chan, opinions seriously. A lot of it is just memes, contrarianism, and hive mentality. Every single game is hated by /vp/. Everytime a new game comes out, it gets heavily shitted on. XY hate is somewhat justifiable though, because it definitely had a lot of lost potential and is the weakest main series entry, but it's still not as bad as /vp/ says. I enjoyed it and the experience at the time, but it won't hold up that well.
Imho, SM is the best since BW.
