>>50345217>-All the Kanto pandering, which is so excessive that Professor Oak randomly shows up at the end of the game. My god man, it's like Kanto is overwriting the region itself. Not even trying here. One Professor and his Legendary bird quest doesn't compete with Kalos literally stealing a location tile for tile from Kanto, on top of everything else Kalos takes from Kanto.
>-That and the excessive amount of Kanto Pokemon in the region results in native Sinnoh Pokemon being completely overshadowed. Sinnoh Pokemon are outnumbered 5 to 1 in the encounter tables, in trainer teams, and in the regional dex. It's so bad that Sinnoh Pokemon don't even get representation in the game world; things like statues or billboards are always of old Pokemon. Not trying here either; this is just lying. Sinnoh Pokemon take up the most slots of the Sinnoh regional dex in both DP (81 out of 151) and Platinum (100/210). Sinnoh Pokemon are encountered often in the early routes where they make up the vast majority of the encounter tables, and Platinum also makes great effort to diversify later encounter tables and ease up a little on Pokemon like Geodude. Sinnoh even at its shittiest doesn't approach Kalos' level of undermining its own Pokemon. Sinnoh Pokemon also get representation in the world, such as the Legendary statue in Eterna, the Croagunk cutout in Pastoria, the Legendary murals in Celestic, or the Munchlax rock in Sunyshore. Compare this to XY, where there's a Roselia statue in Santalune, a Lucario statue in the Tower of Mastery, a Milotic statue inside Parfum Palace, Reshiram and Zekrom statues in its courtyard, and also in its courtyard mazes of Solrock and Chandelure. There's one other maze resembling a male Pyroar, and that is IT for Kalos.
